Legacies

Your legacy to people with a disability

A will is your gift to people and causes which are important to you during your life. It is also the only way to make sure that your wishes are carried out after your death.

Without a will your loved ones and favourite charities are not guaranteed your estate. A will lets you leave clear guidance, saving your loved ones from having to worry about sorting things out themselves.

Leaving a legacy to WheelPower would be an excellent way of supporting our work with disabled children and adults, and ensuring that your good will lives on.

Thousands of people become wheelchair bound due to accidents or illness, as well as being born with a disability. If this happens to anyone in your family, WheelPower is able to show them through the medium of sport, that their life need not be limited by their new circumstances.

Making a Lasting Difference

Without the money received from legacies, WheelPower would be able to help far fewer disabled children and adults across the UK. Your gift would be vital in improving the lives of thousands of disabled people, in such ways as rehabilitation for the recently spinally injured, or helping to show disabled children the positive abilities they have when playing sport.

Gifts in Memoriam

Sometimes people prefer to ask their friends and relatives to give to a charity, rather than sending flowers to a funeral service. A donation to WheelPower, while being very much appreciated, would be a meaningful way for your friends and relatives to pay tribute to your memory.

Every legacy gift we receive makes a tremendous difference to our work with the disabled, and enables WheelPower to confidently plan its programme of charitable aims for the years to come.
