Second place for Rhinos
Despite the travel chaos last weekend, both RGK TCAT Rhinos and Oldham Owls made the trip to Poland to play in the European Challenge Cup.
RGK TCAT Rhinos just missed out on first spot, after topping their Pool A table with wins the host nation LTRS Lodz 25 - 91, Pilatus Dragons 44 - 80 and Conveen Sitting Bulls 42 – 96. In the semi final Rhinos came back from 15 points down to win 60 - 54 over Skywheelers but eventually lost out to Norrköping Dolphins 75 - 61 in the final.
In Pool B, Oldham Owls won their first game beating Le Cannet, 55 – 52, however they narrowly lost to the Mainhatten Skywheelers in their second game 65 – 71, then were beaten by the overall winners of the tournament Norrköping Dolphins 65 – 31 to finish third in the pool. They went onto finish a respectable 5th after beating, LTRS Lodz and Le Cannet.
