Sports Awards

The British Wheelchair Sports Awards are organised and hosted by WheelPower as an annual celebration of the talents and achievements of Britain’s wheelchair sportsmen and women.

The 2007 British Wheelchair Sports Awards will be held on Saturday 24 November at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Reading part of the Madejski Stadium Complex, home of Reading Football Club.

This will be the 12th year that the achievements of those involved in British wheelchair sport are recognised and the awards have become a prestigious event in the wheelchair sports calendar.

This glittering occasion will attract around 300 people including many past and current Paralympic athletes as well as those aiming for Bejing in 2008 and those aspiring to represent GB in London 2012.

This year’s award categories include:

Junior Boy and Girl of the Year, Best Newcomer to Wheelchair Sport, Media Coverage, Journalist of the Year, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year in a Team Sport, Team of the Year in a Team Event, Individual Male and Female Achievement, Service to Wheelchair Sport and Lifetime Achievement.

Nomination Forms and Ticket Applications are available from the WheelPower office on 01296 395995 or info@wheelpower.org.uk
