WheelPower - British Wheelchair Sport, the national disability sports organisation for wheelchair sport, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed communication and engagement professional to join our Communications team.  You will be an individual who wants to build and develop their career as part of a busy, delivery focused team. 
This role is vital if we are to increase the number of physically disabled people leading active lives.  Your key focus will be to:
  • Ensure that wheelchair users have access information which enables them to take part in sport and physical activity
  • Promote our events and activities by telling the stories of how our work has had a positive impact on the physical and mental well-being of disabled people
  • Produce regular outbound communications which promote WheelPower and our partners’ events and activities
  • Produce innovative content for the delivery of creative, successful and cost effective marketing and media campaigns

Salary: £23,000 per annum, pro-rata.
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, will include some evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
Type of contract: Fixed term until 30th September 2020
Location: Based at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, nr Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire (the post will involve some travelling within the UK)
