The role

This is an exciting new opportunity to join WheelPower's friendly, passionate and supportive sports team.

You will Identify, build and maintain excellent relationships with key partners and stakeholders (to include National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs), Active Partnerships, Disabled People Organisations, WheelPower Member Sports, National Disability Sport Organisations, education establishments and health care professionals) to deliver WheelPower’s strategic targets with a primary focus on increasing participation in sport and physical activity as part of the Uniting the Movement strategy from Sport England.

About you

We are looking for a friendly and organised individual. You will be confident at building relationships and be an engaging communicator. You will have excellent multi-tasking skills and attention to detail, be happy working within a team as well as on your own, and have a flexible and collaborative approach to your work. 

About us

WheelPower is the national charity for wheelchair sport and we are passionate about helping disabled people lead active lives. We do this by organising sports sessions and providing advice to recently paralysed hospital patients, organising a variety of events and programmes at Stoke Mandeville Stadium and throughout the country, organising online fitness classes and resources which enable disabled people to stay active in their homes and working with our partners to improve their delivery models.

Salary: £28,000 - 30,000, depending on skills and experience
Contract: Full time permanent contract
Location: Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Aylesbury / Home (minimum 1 days a week in office and 4 days homeworking considered)
Reporting to: Head of Sport & Physical Activity
