Lynsey Speirs

Physical Activity Advisor - Glasgow

Lynsey is the Physical Activity Advisor supporting the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit in Glasgow, the centre for Spinal Cord Injury care and rehabilitation in Scotland.  Lynsey’s role is to offer advice on keeping fit and active following spinal cord injury, and support people to pursue opportunities for sport and physical activity in the unit and the community.

Lynsey sustained a spinal cord injury in 2006, completing 5 months of inpatient rehabilitation in QENSIU Glasgow. Since then, Lynsey has been to university and has been fortunate to work in roles that enable her to do what she enjoys most - supporting people to achieve their personal goals. Lynsey enjoys keeping fit and plays wheelchair basketball for Glasgow Rollin Rocks.
