Pasan is the former Performance Director and Head Coach for Disability Shooting Great Britain (DSGB) from 2009 to 2016. He joined DSGB in 2007 as National Coach and Performance Manager. He was the Team Leader for Great Britain Paralympic Shooting Team in 2008, 2012 and 2016. During his time with DSGB he has produced many international medallists in World Cups, European Championships, World Championships and Paralympic Games. He is currently the Vice Chairman of DSGB.
He was awarded the WheelPower ‘Best Coach of the Year’ award in 2008 in recognition of producing a Gold Medallist with a Paralympic Record within 18 months.
Before joining DSGB, Pasan served in the Sri Lanka Army for 26 years and retired as a Colonel. He is a council member of the Royal Commonwealth Ex-services League (RCEL) and he was the Standard Bearer for RCEL at the Festival of Remembrance, London 2018.
He is an athlete who has competed in Shooting at international shooting competitions in ISSF and IPSC (International Shooting Sports Federation & International Practical Shooting Confederation) from 1990 to 2004 and has won international medals.
Pasan is also an ISSF and WSPS (World Shooting Para Sport) level ‘A’ judge and a ISSF Level ‘B’ Coach.
