Rob is currently a Non Executive Director of companies in the transport, water and marine industries and Chair of the Community Bank project. He is also columnist for The Telegraph where he provides an insight into the inner workings of Government and politics. He was previously a CEO and Chair of an IT company.
Rob was elected Conservative Member of Parliament for the Reading East parliamentary constituency in the 2005 general election, being re-elected in the elections of 2010 and 2015. During his time as an MP Rob was a Minister at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and prior to this was a Minister for Cabinet Office where he was responsible for reforming the charity fundraising and the National Citizen Service as well as implementing the Prime Minister’s ‘Big Society’ agenda.
Rob became Chair of WheelPower in 2018 and his business background, exceptional leadership and ability to negotiate as well as his background in politics, civil society/community, sport and business will provide WheelPower with the strong leadership it needs to achieve its goals in the future.
