WheelPower, the national charity for British Wheelchair Sport, aims to transform the lives of wheelchair users and physically disabled people through sport and physical activity.

The Role

WheelPower is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated professional with a good understanding of the sector, as well as a desire to work within sport for disabled people and a passion for organising events, aimed primarily at young and newly disabled people.

The Sports Events and Development Officer will organise a range of sporting events and opportunities. Impairment specific knowledge of wheelchair users and amputees would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.

The Sports Events and Development Officer will manage relationships with partners to successfully deliver the events programme and increase participation in sport and physical activity by disabled people.

Salary: £23,000 - £27,000 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, will include some evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Location: Based at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, nr Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire (the post will involve some travelling within the UK)
