Community and Events Fundraising Manager (Maternity Cover)
Location: Hybrid / Office base: Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Aylesbury
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term – 14 Months (Maternity Cover)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part-time considered)

Are you an experienced and passionate Community Fundraiser, have a background in fundraising events or an Events Coordinator looking for a meaningful role in the charity sector? Join WheelPower, where your skills in community fundraising and event delivery will help transform lives through sport.
We’re seeking a Community and Events Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our fundraising efforts across a variety of exciting campaigns, including the popular Tour de Vale Bike Ride, third-party events like the Great North Run, and engagement with local schools, businesses, and community groups.
Key Responsibilities in Fundraising Events Management
- Lead the planning and delivery of WheelPower’s flagship events, including the Tour de Vale Bike Ride.
- Manage relationships with runners and participants in third-party challenge events (e.g., Great North Run, skydiving).
- Identify and develop community fundraising opportunities with schools, local businesses, and volunteer groups.
- Recruit, engage, and support fundraisers to help them reach their targets.
- Ensure excellent supporter care, building long-lasting relationships with donors and volunteers.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising, Data & Communications and the wider Fundraising and Marketing team.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in charity events or community fundraising roles.
- A strong track record of meeting fundraising targets and supporter engagement.
- Confident and engaging communicator, capable of inspiring volunteers and donors.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with great attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
