This strategy moves beyond merely looking at how many people take part.
It considers what people get out of participating and what more can be done to make a physically active life truly transformative. It concentrates on five key outcomes:
- physical wellbeing
- mental wellbeing
- individual development
- social and community development
- economic development.
It plans to focus on those people who tend not to take part in sport, including women and girls, disabled people, those in lower socio-economic groups and older people.
