Adaptive Skiing for children aged 5+

Try adaptive skiing in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment! Join us for a free taster day designed for disabled children and young people aged 5 to 17 who want to discover the thrill of skiing. No experience is needed.

When and where are the events?

Learn to Ski with WheelPower on 4 March 2026 at The Snow Centre Manchester – 16 spaces.

Learn to Ski with WheelPower on 24 March 2026 at SnowDome, Tamworth – 16 spaces.

Timetable

Manchester: 10.00, 11.30, 13.00 & 14.30
Tamworth: 10.00, 11.30, 14.00 & 15.30

What you’ll do

Our friendly and experienced adaptive skiing instructors will help you:

  • Learn the basics of balance, control, and steering.
  • Try different adaptive equipment.
  • Build confidence on the snow in a supportive environment.
  • Have fun with new friends while learning a new skill!

All sessions are tailored to individual needs so everyone can take part at their own pace.

Who can attend?

  • Physically disabled children and young people aged 5 – 17.
  • No previous skiing experience is required.
  • Parents, carers, and siblings are welcome to watch and cheer you on.

Please note that booking priority will be given to people who have not attended a previous Learn to Ski Day.

Once registered a member of the WheelPower Sports Team will contact you to ask your first and second choice of session times. Please arrive 20 mins before your agreed time slot.

​What to bring

All adaptive equipment will be provided according to your needs and for your comfort and safety. Participants are advised to wear warm comfortable sports clothing as the slope is cold!

Cost:

This is a FREE event, but participants will be required to pay a £15 deposit to secure their place. This will be refunded after the event.
