Pippa Kirkbride served as the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire for 2025–26, representing His Majesty The King in matters relating to the judiciary, policing, public service and the voluntary sector across the county.
Throughout her shrieval year, Pippa championed two central themes: promoting volunteering and creating opportunities that give young people the best possible start in life. Her year brought her into contact with hundreds of charities, volunteers, public servants and community organisations across Buckinghamshire, reinforcing her belief in the power of community participation, inclusion and active lives.
Pippa has a long-standing commitment to charitable and community organisations. She is a Trustee of Heart of Bucks Community Foundation, supporting local charities and initiatives across Buckinghamshire. She also volunteered for ten years with Citizens Advice as a Money Advice Caseworker, supported Sense, the National Deafblind Charity, and has served twice as a school governor.
Before focusing on charitable and civic work, Pippa enjoyed a successful commercial career in the food industry, holding senior product development and marketing roles with organisations including Marks & Spencer, Northern Foods, Grand Metropolitan and United Biscuits.
As Patron of WheelPower, Pippa is proud to support a charity with a unique place in both Buckinghamshire and sporting history
Pippa is particularly inspired by WheelPower’s commitment to widening access to sport, building confidence and wellbeing, and creating opportunities from first participation through to elite competition. The charity’s work with children, young people and newly injured participants strongly reflects the themes she championed throughout her year as High Sheriff.
Having lived in Amersham for more than thirty years with her husband Nick, Pippa remains passionate about the role volunteering, sport and community engagement can play in transforming lives and strengthening communities.
