These Award have been written for both primary and secondary aged children, with the understanding that a primary aged manual wheelchair user, could potentially be just as able as a secondary aged powerchair user – hence the activities covering both age ranges.
Students are encouraged to work their way through the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards by completing 8 of the 12 activities within each. Short videos depicting each activity are available by clicking on the relevant QR code within the Teacher Resource (or by selecting the video tab from the top of this page).
Each student will have their own Student Achievement Chart to track their progress. On completion of each Award, a corresponding colour certificate will be awarded. On the reverse of certificates, students will find details of WheelPower sports events, free resistance bands, and details on how to access sport closer to home.
