I have my own place …
As an own place runner, you’ll get the same support from our dedicated events team as those with a charity place … and you can set your own fundraising target! Whether this will be your first marathon, or you’re a seasoned pro, we’d love for you to join us! If you would like to make a real difference then look no further than WheelPower.
Experience the world’s biggest half marathon, take in the iconic landmarks and feel energised by the electric atmosphere as you run through the streets of Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields. With your support, you will be helping WheelPower to provide opportunities for disabled people to lead active lives throughout the UK.
Please note: You will need to pay a registration fee and commit to raising £250 in sponsorship.

Fundraising support
When you sign up, you’ll receive a welcome pack that has everything you need to know about fundraising, including fun ideas and helpful tips. We recommend you break your target down into manageable chunks and create a plan to help you reach your goals. Our friendly team also have some inspirational ideas that will boost your fundraising.
