Camilla Soames (Milly) has lived in Buckinghamshire since 1991 and was made a Deputy Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire in 2011. Whilst her children were growing up, she worked part time at Waddesdon Manor helping to establish the private events business and co-ordinate the Christmas Season. The year 2016 – 2017 was spent as High Sheriff of the county.
Milly Chairs, BACO (Bucks Association for the Care of Offenders) and co-chairs the Employment Advisory Board at HMP/YOI Aylesbury. She is a Trustee of Friends of Emerson House, The Adrian Swire Charitable Trust and sits on the Council of the University of Buckingham as an independent Trustee and is Vice Chair of Council. She is Trustee and interim Chair of the University of Buckingham Foundation.
She is a Patron of the Pace Centre and Action 4 Youth and Buckinghamshire Citizens Advice.
She has three adult children and lives with her husband Rupert, on a small farm in the Vale of Aylesbury.
