Peter played an important role in WheelPower’s Sporting Chance Appeal Committee, which successfully raised £10.2 million for the redevelopment of Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement. He was also a key member of the Wheel Appeal Committee, which provided more than 1,000 wheelchairs to disabled people.
Peter personally raised over £50,000 by taking part in a handcycling marathon and cycling the Himalayas.
Alongside his longstanding support for WheelPower, Peter has been closely involved in the development and promotion of disability sport, particularly wheelchair cricket, helping to create opportunities for disabled people to take part in both competitive and recreational sport.
