Wheelchair Yoga with Nina

Yoga is a safe and effective way to increase strength, flexibility and your balance that can lead to improvements in both your physical and mental wellbeing. At WheelPower we believe that lives can be transformed through sport and physical activity. Nina has produced a range of Adaptive Yoga videos show you how to complete the yoga poses in a safe and effective way. These videos last approximately 30 minutes, so make sure it’s nice and quiet for relaxation. Put on some comfortable clothing that allow for movement, find yourselves a small space within your home and away you go.

Take a deep dive into the ancient, embodied movements of qigong. Our instructor Phil brings an unprecedented level of knowledge and experience to these sessions with over 37 years of practice in tai chi, qigong, embodied practice, and other martial arts.

Ella’s friendly, engaging and knowledgeable style has made her a firm favourite with the disabled community throughout the UK. In May 2021 her story and that of the wheelchair exercises classes was featured on the BBC One Show, showcasing the importance of these classes for many thousands of disabled people.

Box-Fit with Luiz

These videos are the perfect introduction to the sport with no equipment needed, and are suitable for most people who are unable to participate in boxing from a standing position. The sessions are designed to incorporate functional fitness, strength and conditioning; paying particular attention to the transfer of adaptive boxing skills and drills to increase core stability, mobility and overall upper body strength.
