5K May Challenge

1 May 2021 to 31 May 2021

Introducing an all-inclusive charitable 5K event taking place in May 2021. One month of coming together for better!

What is 5k May?

You can do your 5K anywhere, anytime with anyone.  The 5k May challenge will be turning the month of May into a celebration of physical activity and everyone is invited to take part, including all of our WheelPower supporters.

It’s not just about running though - you could walk, roll, skip or even swim your 5 kilometers if you wish! All that matters is getting your body moving and raising vital funds for WheelPower at the same time.

How to Take Part

It is really simple to take part in this challenge:

  • PARTICIPATE: Run, Walk, Roll, Push 5km anytime during the month of May (You can do this in one go or spread it across multiple days. It is up to you!)
  • DONATE £5 to WheelPower
  • NOMINATE 5 other friends, family members or colleagues.

With famous faces like Mo Farah, Ellie Goulding and even Prime Minister Boris Johnson backing previous Run For Heroes challenges, you may even spot a celebrity while out on your 5kMay journey.

It's about getting out and feeling good while doing it.

During the Summer of 2020 the #Run5Donate5Nominate5 running challenge went viral, with members of the public running 5K, donating £5 and then nominating a further 5 friends to take on the trend. This social media sensation raised £7million for the NHS COVID-19 appeal through mobilising 1.5 million participants, across 20 different countries. The charity Run for Heroes were the creators behind the challenge and now they’re back with a new virtual challenge, 5K May, and you can be part of it!
